Shipping policy

Cut & Crimp is a trading name of Oranworth Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 1338701, VAT registration number 320 4092 08, registered office: Mercury Yacht Harbour, Satchell Lane, Hamble, Southampton, Hampshire, SO31 4HQ.

We ship cable, terminals and made-to-measure leads to addresses in the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the EU. This policy explains what delivery costs, how long it takes, and how we handle the heavy ones.

UK delivery

Standard delivery is a flat £6.95 to all UK addresses, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Delivery to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man is a flat £14.95.

EU delivery

Delivery to EU addresses is a flat £49.99. The delivery charge is shown at checkout based on your destination, so you see the cost before you pay. We currently ship to the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the EU only. If you cannot see a delivery rate for your address at checkout, contact us before ordering.

Collect in person

You can collect from us at Mercury Yacht Harbour, Hamble, Southampton at no charge. Choose 'Collect in person' at checkout and wait for our email confirming your order is ready before travelling. Please bring your order confirmation and photo ID. Collection is Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

How long it takes

Stock items are dispatched within 1 to 2 working days. Orders placed before 1pm on a working day are usually processed the same day.

Made-to-measure leads are cut, crimped and heat shrunk to order, so they take a little longer. Allow 2 to 3 working days before dispatch. Where a lead uses a stud size we do not hold, the configurator tells you before you order and adds 2 to 3 working days on top.

Once dispatched, typical UK delivery is 1 to 3 working days. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and do not include the dispatch time above. We dispatch Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Heavy parcels

Cable is dense. A 20 metre run of 95mm² weighs over 20kg on its own, and the configurator tells you the weight as you build it.

Parcels over 20kg go on a two-man service, which adds a day. Anything over 30kg ships on a pallet, and we will contact you to arrange it and confirm the carriage cost before we process the order. Pallet and heavy carriage is quoted separately from the flat rates above. If you are ordering several long heavy leads together, ring us first and we will usually save you money on carriage.

International delivery

Delivery outside the UK varies by destination and customs clearance, typically 5 to 15 working days.

Duties and taxes. We do not charge UK VAT on orders shipped outside the UK. Your order may be subject to import duty, local sales tax and customs or handling fees charged by the destination country. These are payable by you and are not included in the product price or the shipping charge. Please check your country's rules before ordering. We cannot mark orders as gifts or under-declare their value.

Tracking

We email tracking details when your order is dispatched.

Damaged, incorrect or missing items

Please check your order on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, is incorrect or is missing, contact us at info@hudsonmarine.co.uk with your order number as soon as you can, and within 24 hours of delivery for transit damage. Keep the packaging until it is resolved. Your legal rights are set out in our refund policy.

Delays outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather or other events beyond our control, but we will always help you chase an order that has gone astray.
